Baby massage with the IAIM

Emma is a Certified Infant Massage Instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage ( IAIM).  The association was founded in 1978 by Vimala McClure after her work in orphanages in India. She observed that babies and children were not thriving due to the lack of physical touch. On contracting malaria, she was massaged back to health by the women of the village and realised that this loving touch was a fundamental human need and decided to introduce it the orphanages with amazing results and then return to the West to teach it to parents worldwide.

The purpose of the IAIM is to promote" nurturing touch and communication  through training, education and research so that parents and caregivers are loved, valued and respected"

We massage our babies to learn about their growing bodies, help them to flourish, communicate our love and develop their self-esteem.
